der chelsea market ist sowohl food court als auch shopping mall in einem ehemaligen bäckerei-fabrikkomplex, in dem vor fast hundert jahren übrigens der oreo keks erfunden wurde. ich mag das industrielle design im gebäude sehr... und auch die halloween-dekoration im oktober!

the chelsea market is a food court and shopping mall in a former bakery factory complex where the oreo cookie was invented almost 100 years ago. i really love that industrial design of the building... and the halloween decoration in october!

... außerdem sind die burger bei FRIEDMAN's LUNCH ganz ausgezeichnet! ;)

ihr, lieben... ich danke euch ganz herzlich für die vielen REZEPTlinks! ich hatte ja gestern abend dann auch noch selbst angefangen zu googeln und nun habe ich schon mal angefangen, mich durch eure empfehlungen durchzuklicken. also im moment würde ich ganz ehrlich sagen, dass die teilchen, so lecker sie sind, schrecklich aufwendig zu backen sind und ich dafür doch etwas zu faul... ;) zudem verfestigt sich der eindruck, das sie auch noch ziemlich empfindlich sind, die kleinen... bestimmt reicht ein schiefer blick von mir uns das ergebnis sieht aus wie ein schiefbelatschter bunter kuhfladen!? excuse my french.

für den anfang würde ich dann doch erst mal zum kaufen tendieren! *lach* eine bestellung bei dawanda ist schon raus und ein besuch am isemarkt steht auf dem kalender. ich werde berichten... DANKE nochmal!

many thanks, you sweeties... for all the RECIPElinks you postet for me! i also started google-ing myself last night and now i am browsing through your references. well, for now i would say, that making these darlings yourself is quite time-consuming, and too be honest i am too lazy for such complex stuff ;) ... what's more is that they seem to be so delicate that one false move of mine might turn them into some trampled looking cow pad or so! excuse my french.

so... i decided to buy some first! *lol* i already ordered some via dawanda and fixed a date for visiting the isemarkt! i'll report... until then THANK YOU, guys!

bisher kannte ich MACARONS nur von fotos. ich war auch noch nie in die verlegenheit gekommen, sie zu probieren. ganz ehrlich gesagt, habe ich mir auch nicht wirklich vorgestellt, dass sie auch nur halb so gut schmecken wie sie aussehen...

until the other day i only knew MACARONS from pictures. i did not happen to try some yet and to be honest i didn't even think they would taste as wonderful as they look like...

und das tun sie auch nicht. sie schmecken BOMBASTISCH!

and actually they really don't. they taste BOOMBASTIC!

wir hatten himbeer, erdnussbutter (die in schlumpf-farbe... mein favorit!), zimt und zitrone. meine güte, waren die lecker. und wo bekomme ich hier jetzt bitte welche her? ich kann doch nicht warten, bis wir mal wieder zufällig am MACARON CAFÉ vorbeikommen!

oder hat die jemand von euch vielleicht schon mal selbst gebacken? kann das ein normal sterblicher mensch überhaupt? ... fragen über fragen...

we had raspberry, peanut butter (those kinda smurf-colored ones... my special favorites!), cinnamon and lemon. my gosh... and now where do i get them here, please? after all i can't wait until i will come around the MACARON CAFÉ again!

p.s. weil es spekulationen hier und auf facebook über die schuhe auf der stromleitung gab... JA! es gibt da so einige theorien, warum die da hängen... hier sind ein paar erklärungen zum SHOEFITI! ;) meine persönliche theorie ist ja, dass die wahrscheinlich meist nur just-for fun dort oben landen, und wo ein paar einsamme schuhe baumeln, gesellen sich ja gern neue hinzu. my two cents.

p.s. because some of you were wildketting here and on facebook... YES! there are some very different theories about shoes on a wire... here you can read about SHOEFITI! ;) my personal theorie is, that in most people do this just for fun... and (as always) where's one lonely shoe's hung over a wire more company will follow soon. my two cents.

... und garantiert hat man dort EXTRAspaß beim photowalk mit einem guten flickr-kumpel. wie letztes jahr haben wir RICHARD aka richartpix getroffen... und hatten einen wunderbaren tag!
