ich freue mich ja schon eine weile... ganz klammheimlich. ziemlich dolle sogar!

i've been pleased as a punch for a while now... on the quiet. but a lot!!!

OK, ich bleib mal still sitzen, auch wenn's mir schwer fällt, weil ich so aufgeregt bin.

nun, eine brandneue neuigkeit ist es ja nicht mehr, denn während unseres familienurlaubs haben sabine & jeanette, die katze den FUCHS bereits aus dem sack lassen müssen... der herbst kommt schließlich mit großen schritten und so war auch FLORAfox nicht mehr zu bremsen!

OK, i keep seated, although it's kind of hard for me since i am far too exited.

well, actually it's really not that brandnew news anymore. while we were on family vacation sabine & jeanette had to let the cat the FOX out of the bag... because fall is coming way too fast and so FLORAfox couldn't wait anymore!

FLORA is a genuine luziapimpinelastic-huupsidelish baby...

viele von euch wissen, dass ich keine ausgebildete grafikdesignerin bin, was ich entwerfe, entsteht per hand... mit bleistift, buntstift und marker... und so etlichen radiergummis. umso dankbarer bin ich, in JEANETTE eine kollegin und freundin gefunden zu haben, mit der ich auf einer wellenlänge liege, wenn es um design und farben geht. ohne IHRE digitale bearbeitung meiner entwürfe, wären pimpinellische stickmuster oder auch stoffe nur ein wunschtraum für mich!

many of you know that i'm no graphic designer with diploma. i create by using pencils, crayons and markers... as well as i need many many erasers. i am grateful to have a colleague and  friend like JEANETTE who shares the same wave-length when it comes to design and colors. without HER digitizing of my sketches pimpinellish embroidery designs and fabrics would be a pipe dream only!

FLORA war ein ganz besonderes projekt, denn obwohl ihre schnute von anfang an eigentlich unverändert bliebt, entwickelte sich das drumherum NUR in unzähligem hin und her zwischen jeanette und mir. farben und muster wurden probiert und wieder verworfen. vielleicht sternchen? nein, doch punkte! wirklich kittgrau? oder lieber mausgrau? ...und war da nicht dieses wundervolle schnörkelmuster von dir jeanette, dass du schon vor jahren entworfen hast?

zeig nochmal... jetzt... PERFEKT!

ihr glaubt nicht, wie viel spaß da macht und wie toll der moment ist, wenn BEIDE sagen... "ja! so isses rund!" ... DANKE, jeanette.

FLORA has been a special project. the look of her face was clear from the beginning but the background and sourrounding developed by countless seesaw changes between jeanette and me. we tried colors and patterns and abolished many. what about small stars pattern? no, polka-dots! putty grey? really? or mouse grey?... and what do you think about adding this quirky ornamental pattern that you created years ago, jeanette?

let's see.... PERFECT!

maybe you can imagine how much fun it is working together this way. how great the moment when we both say... "yeah! that's it!" ... THANK YOU, jeanette.

GLÜCKLICH...

sind jeanette & ich übrigens, dass die PILZGLÜCKLICH-stickdatei wieder online ist! einige von euch hatten sie ja bereits vermisst...

es ist so, dass unklarheiten über den markenschutz des wortes GLÜCKPILZ bestanden und wir haben recherchiert, dass es ist in der tat für gewisse produktbereiche als wortmarke geschützt ist. dies gilt zwar nicht für die stickdatei als eigenständiges produkt, die darf verkauft werden... sehrwohl aber leider für T-SHIRTS und andere textilien mit einem GLÜCKSPILZ-schriftzug. nun nutzen ja nicht wenige kundinnen unsere stickmuster auch GEWERBLICH, deshalb sahen wir uns in der pflicht, die datei zu überarbeiten, um unannehmlichkeiten zu vermeiden.

ALLE, die die ursprüngliche stickmuster-serie PILZGLÜCKLICH bei jeannette gekauft haben, können ab heute die NEUE, veränderete datei im DOWNLOADbereich des HUUPS-shop herunterladen. natürlich könnt ihr für den privaten gebrauch auch weiterhin die alten schriftzüge nutzen, wie es euch spaß macht... wir weisen jedoch alle GEWERBLICHE nutzerinnen darauf hin, die ursprünglichen GLÜCKSPILZ-schriftzüge in eigenem interesse nicht mehr auf verkaufsartikeln zu verwenden... sondern das neue GLÜCKPILZIG!

der sinn und unsinn eines markenschutzes für worte aus dem allgemeinen deutschen sprachgebrauch sei mal dahingestellt... *seufz*... vorerst ist es leider, wie es ist.

trotzdem weiterhin fröhliches sticken allerseits!

willkommen in chichén itzá... einem der neuen sieben weltwunder.

der leguan braucht neue schuhe...    the iguana needs some new shoes...

die pyramide des kukulkán lugt hinter der mauer hervor, die ich mit ihrem totenkopf-fries besonders faszinierend fand.

the temple of kukulkán's peeping over the wall with skull frieze which was really stunning.

die gruppe der tausend säulen. eigentlich sind es ja nur 400... 

the group of a thousand columns. actually there are only 400...

chillende leguane überall...  chilling iguanas everywhere...

dies ist einer der steinernen ringe auf dem großen ballspielplatz, dem juego de pelota, wo pok-ta-pok gespielt wurde... ein spiel zu dem man wohl übermenschliche kräfte benötigte, wenn man bedenkt, dass die ringe in ca. 7 metern höhe an einer senkrechten wand hängen und die spieler einen 4 kilogramm schweren kautschukball ohne die hilfe von händen oder füßen durch die öffnung schießen mussten!

these stone rings are part of the great ball court , the juego de pelota, where the mayan played pok-ta-pok...  i guess you needed supernatural power to play that game, considering that the rings are 7 meters high on a straight wall and you had to kick a 4 kilogramm caoutchouc ball through the hole without using hands or feet!

jetzt aber ab ins grüne...    but now off into the greens...

... auf dem weg zu einer cenote. die yucatan halbinsel beherbergt über 7000 von diesen natürlichen kalkstein-wasserreservoirs und auch tropfsteinhöhlen mit süßwasser. manche von ihnen sind erschlossen und man kann in ihnen schwimmen...

... on our way to a cenote. the yucatan peninsula has over 7000 of these sweetwater sinkholes and flowstone caves. in some of them you can swim... 

äh, das bäuchlein da... das liegt natürlich nicht am guten mexikanischen essen.... nee, das ist nur mein hohlkreuz! ganz sicher! *lol*

ummm... that tummy isn't the result of the delish mexican food of course... nooo, it's only caused by my hollow back! for sure! *lol*

luzie fand das kanu fahren in der cenote im kantun chi eco park so richtig toll... sie stellte sich als echtes naturtalent im paddeln heraus. wer hätte das gedacht!?

luzie loved the cenote canoeing in the kantun chi eco park... she turned out to be a natural paddler! who knew!?

diese kleinen fischkerle gnibbelten einem an den füßen herum! ihr könnt euch vorstellen, wie wir mädels die ganze zeit gequiekt haben...

these little fish-guys used to nibble at your toes! imagine us girls sqeaking all the time...

in der tropfsteinhöhle von kantun chi war das selbst fotografieren leider nicht erlaubt! das war so schade. nun, man konnte jedoch fotos kaufen... und so haben wir nun auch ein paar echt klassische touri-bilder im portfolio! *lach*

i wasn't allowed to take pictures inside the stalactite cave of kantun chi myself. so sad. but they did the job of photographing... well, at least we do have some real classic tourist shots in out portfilio now.... *lol*

eselchen war natürlich immer dabei! hier ist er todesmutig bein strömendem regen auf die pyramide von cobá gekraxelt und posiert vor dem ausblick auf den yucatekischen dschungel.

of course eselchen was with us ... everywhere! he climbed the top of the cobá pyramide, undaunted by death and the pouring rain, to pose in front of the yucatecan jungle!

dieses tauben-pärchen war zu süß (obwohl ich tauben eigentlich sonst nicht besonders mag)... sie saßen da in stoischer ruhe, seite an seite auf der vom regensturm schwankenden pflanze (die mich übrigens irgendwie an die frisur von tingeltangel bob erinnerte... *lach*)

this pigeon couple was too cute (although i usually don't like pigeons that much)... they sat side by side while a rainstorm shook this plant (that reminded me of sideshow bob's hairdo somehow... *lol*)

... und nun zu etwas ganz anderem... ABENTEUER! ;)

15 meter tief abseilen in eine trockene cenote. ich hab mich nicht getraut. aber der tapfere lieblingsmann.
